Black Mountain Animal Hospital was founded by Dr. Joe Richichi in 2026, he started his career working for a corporate hospital more than 6 years ago. Once the pressure was on to make more and more money for the corporation, he left. He swore to never work in a hospital again that focused on the money, more than the pets. He became a relief veterinarian in Asheville, NC, and worked at over 30 hospitals to gain the necessary comparisons and education on how every hospital functioned. Through this he began the creation of Black Mountain Animal Hospital!
