Not Sure Whether It Is an Emergency
Call VEG Asheville directly to discuss what you’re seeing. Their team can help you determine whether your pet needs emergency attention. Please do not wait for an appointment or a response from Black Mountain Animal Hospital before seeking emergency care.
Getting Help for Your Pet
You may call VEG before leaving or go directly to the hospital. If available, bring information about your pet’s medications, medical history, and any recent treatment. If we are open, let us know and we can transfer your pets records immediately to better help VEG understand your pet’s history. Do not delay emergency care to gather paperwork.
Follow Up After an Emergency Visit
Follow the discharge instructions provided by the emergency veterinarian. If follow-up care with your regular veterinarian is recommended, contact our team to arrange a visit right away and let us know where your pet was treated. Bring or share the discharge summary so we can review the care your pet received.
